Case Study

Why did Skullcandy choose Synergy SKY Meeting Server

Why Synergy SKY?

Skullcandy lives by its mission to inspire life at full volume through forward‐ thinking technologies and ideas, and leading‐ edge design and materialization. Skullcandy designs, markets, and distributes audio and gaming headphones and other accessory‐ related products under the Skullcandy and 2XL brands.

With 350 employees in 5 locations globally Skullcandy is using Skype for Business at the desktop and Cisco video conference in the meeting rooms.

We asked Justin Haaga, IT manager at Skullcandy, five questions as to why he chose Synergy SKY?

 1. What was the specific challenge you were experiencing at Skullcandy that prompted you to consider a product such as Synergy SKY Meeting Server?

Providing a seamless “One Touch” user experience from Skype For Business to Video Telepresence.

2.How did this challenge affect your users?

Was a challenge to provide consistent training for end users on joining via a Telepresence unit.  This gave off the perception that the system was flawed and/or not working

3. How did you go about finding a solution to this challenge?

We searched every reseller, conference, online to find a solution for 2 years to no avail.  We ran across a obscure demo online with Pexip with them using one touch using SfB and a telepresence, we reached out to Pexip and they told us this was Synergy Sky

4. How long did it take you to install and configure the product?

About 5 mins

5. How did your users react to the product initially?

We provided no training and users just adapted to it immediately
